Immersion Heat Exchangers

Fluorotherm Immersion Heat Exchangers - Polyproplene Frame

Fluorotherm Immersion Heat Exchangers - PTFE Frame

FLUOROTHERM IMMERSION HEAT EXCHANGERS
Corrosion resistant and ultrapure fluoropolymer FEP, MFA and PFA tubing immersion heat exchangers are used for heating and cooling chemically aggressive fluids. They are unsurpassed in chemical resistance due to their fluoropolymer construction; and are superior to other exotic metals, alloys, glass and graphite. End uses are numerous: pickling, semiconductor wafer processing, metal plating, galvanizing, corrosive gas condensing for process and sampling, and other ultrapure applications.
Fluorotherm's heat exchanger designs have been proven worldwide over the past 35 years. All surfaces are fully exposed to fluid for maximum heat transfer. They are rugged, able to withstand the toughest environments under high temperatures, can handle live steam heating, and are the most durable the market has to offer.
Immersion heat exchangers are available in 600+ dimensional and design variations to suit virtually any tank size and shape

Materials Available

A fluoropolymer heat transfer surface is provided for both low and high temperatures. Materials selection varies with your operating conditions such as water or steam pressure, flow rates, heat duty and process/service fluid temperatures. Components are made to strict quality control and inspection. Call Fluorotherm for detailed information.

Key Benefits

  • Ultrapure, non-stick fluoropolymer maintains heat transfer efficiency
  • Pitting and fouling found in metal heat exchangers is prevented
  • Short payback time when replacing direct steam sparging or electrically heated systems (call Fluorotherm for details)
  • Low profile minimizes surface for sludge deposit
  • Easy maintenance and in-house repair in case of accidental breakage
  • Long life* (call Fluorotherm for historical information)

Description Of Heat Exchanger (Coil) Dimensions:

Referring to photographs above, the width (or length) is the horizontal or "across" dimension, the overall height is the vertical dimension from the bottom to the top of the frame, the immersion height is the vertical distance from the bottom to the top of the coil, and the thickness is generally the smallest dimension representing the thickness of the frame (or coil).
